The Israeli political regime has united on the agenda of permanent colonization and annexation. It is now very clear that Israeli political parties are unequivocally committed to the entrenchment and permanence of the conflict as well as the perpetual oppression of the Palestinian people with the full support and backing of the Trump administration, which is clearly intent on implementing its dangerous and objectionable plan. Annexation is a declaration of permanent aggression on inalienable Palestinian rights and the standing of international law.

53 years of Israeli Occupation

Today, we mark the 53rd year since the barbaric Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank including East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip which remained after the colonization that took place in 1948, in addition to the Syrian Golan Heights and the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula. Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were displaced and had to endure a heavy humanitarian and development calamity. Among them are generations of Palestinians who were compelled to grow up and live in overcrowded and impoverished refugee camps without any prospect for a better life for their children. Seventy-two (72) years have gone by since the Nakba – Catastrophe of 1948 which resulted to the forceful displacement of 950,000 Palestinians and the destruction of 531 villages in addition to the systematic ethnic cleansing.

Palestinian Prisoners’ Day

April 17 – Day of Solidarity with Palestinian Political Prisoners in Israeli Jails

On the 17th of April each year, the Palestinian prisoners, the Palestinian people, and supporters of justice and liberation for Palestine all over the world express their support to Palestinian political prisoners and mark the Day of Solidarity with Palestinian Prisoners in Israeli jails. On this day, and throughout the year, families of prisoners often hold protests and vigils holding photos of their detained family members to keep their stories alive.

Temporary change in providing services in person

Until further notice the Embassy of the State of Palestine is open to the public only on Thursdays from 9am to 3pm upon prior appointment. Please contact us through the e-mail embassy@palestinemb.hu. Other services keep going on.

In case of emergency  please call number +36-30-649-9165 (only for urgent matters).

Services provided in person:

  • certification of legal documents for companies;
  • for Palestinian citizens:
    • passport renewal;
    • legalisation of power of attorney;
    • legalisation of official documents;
    • issuing birth certificate.

Please be sure to wear a mask while in the Embassy.
